The opportunity
Seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support construction and infrastructure projects across the UK and overseas. This role involves assisting with project delivery, programme management, commercial and contract administration, stakeholder engagement, quality compliance, and health & safety activities. Ideal for candidates with 2-5 years' experience in construction or project management, looking to develop their career in a specialist environment with opportunities for professional development and progression.
What you could work on
- Support planning, coordination and delivery of projects from inception to completion
- Assist in developing and maintaining project execution plans and programmes
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, supporting recovery plans
- Assist with administration of NEC and JCT contracts and commercial registers
- Coordinate communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
- Support compliance with quality, health, safety, security and company management systems
- Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, risk and action logs
- Support project handover and continuous improvement initiatives
Relevant experience
- 2-5 years' experience in construction, engineering or project management
- Experience supporting construction projects through delivery phases
- Understanding of programme management principles
- Experience producing reports, meeting minutes and project documentation
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable: experience with NEC4 and/or JCT contracts, working in defence or secure environments
- Desirable: project management qualification (APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent) and familiarity with MS Project
- Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Vetting clearance (DV preferred)
